Under the charm of the walled city is the Baluarte San Francisco Javier, located in front of the Hotel Charleston-Santa Teresa.

It is one of the most beautiful sites in Cartagena de Indias, considered historical heritage and military architecture.

It was built around 1630 by Governor Francisco de Murga to defend the enclosure from enemy attacks, especially those directed towards the dock.

Today it functions as a restaurant and bar, where you can enjoy local cuisine and live music, but it also serves as a space for wedding celebrations or social events.
