The promoters of Mister Babilla always had the idea of creating a restaurant bar based on a character with very attractive characteristics. This is how Mr. Babilla was born in 1990, an unusual lizard, a lover of rumba, good drinks and the lifestyle of the Cartagena rumbero. This picturesque babilla gave rise to a place where meats, Mexican food, dance and liquors merge perfectly.
This whole concept would be rounded off if the precise space was designed and that is how it was done, curious objects, handicrafts, aged things and some other antiquity were collected and taken to a small local, an old house in fact, partially restored and colored with shades intense, characteristic of the mansions in the walled center of Cartagena de Indias, colors that made its interiors and façade more attractive.
Mr. Babilla is Cartagena's rumba on Calle del Arsenal where meats, Mexican food, liquors and good nightlife come together.
