The Library is surrounded by three wetlands: La Vaca, La Chucua del burro and Techo. Thanks to this, reading and nature are the protagonists of different children's workshops that motivate children's sensitivity, their skills for literary creation, their reading habit and their interest in caring for nature.

In addition, it has an exceptional light management that achieves an ideal luminosity for reading thanks to the 'light pockets' on the second floor, which protrude from the facades. These are a kind of inverted skylights that capture the light and spread it over the Reading Room and avoid the glare produced by direct light.
