Protected forest reserve area of the "Bogotá river source"

Located in the municipality of Villa pinzón. It was declared as a reserve area by the Corporation through Executive Resolution 142/82. It comprises an area of 1,128 hectares. The management plan for this area was prepared with the participation of the Francisco José de Caldas District University, through thesis work. The actions carried out are oriented on two fronts: The first corresponds to control over the zone of potato cultivation and livestock. Currently there is a significantly lower percentage compared to 1981, where they were present in more than 20 hectares.
