To create a playful element that was in turn sculptural, an attraction that visually showed strength and played harmoniously with the place", was the idea of Kajuyali Ltda. Entity in Charge of Building the Wall and its Representative, Gabriel Gutiérrez.
The architects proposed a sustainable process for choosing the materials chosen for the construction of the Ceiba - Wall. The wood used for the cladding is cultivated and was not randomly extracted from the forest. The name of the wood is Teak, a tree with optimal properties for outdoor use and that is currently grown in Colombia for sale.
Juliana Ramírez, Architect involved in the project, assured that creating a Ceiba in a place as representative as the First Wonder of Colombia, the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral, allows us to reflect on the care of the Ceibas, which live for more than 100 years old and being felled without control for the sale of wood. "These trees are essential for the memory of each place and generate protection and life for countless fauna in their environment."
Wall levels:
Tree shape, 17 meters high, offers six routes, each with different challenges, starting from the flat face, especially for children, which ends in a roof worthy of little stars "climbing" trees.
The other routes are for all types of climbers, from beginners to professional rock climbers.
The branches of the tree become the biggest challenge for the participants, since they are walls and ceilings of almost 90 degrees in which great dexterity and practice are required.
The attraction offers all the equipment and safety parameters required to carry out the activity, without any risk.
