The Puerta del Reloj leads to this square. Close to the Customs House, the slave trade was carried out there. The surrounding buildings have columns whose arches embellish this square and shade the adjacent sidewalks. It is in these so-called portals where the best homemade sweets in the city are sold (Portal de los Dulces).
