In Santa Marta, the Cultural Area of the Bank of the Republic that has been operating since 2001, offering free of charge a varied program of concerts, exhibitions, readings and other cultural activities that take place in the Library, the Multiple Room and the Children's Room .
Artistic, educational and cultural activities:
o Exhibitions of plastic arts, on anthropological themes or referring to cultural heritage.
o Guided and scheduled visits to the Tayrona Gold Museum.
SPACES
1. First floor
o User reception office
In this place, the entry and exit of consultation materials is controlled and a mailbox is located where books borrowed by the library can be returned.
2. Second floor
or children's room
This is an area dedicated and set for children and young people, who have access to different teaching materials and children's and youth literature books, whose collection exceeds 6,000 copies. In addition, it is the space in which workshops and other activities are held. It has capacity for 50 people.
3. Third floor
or general room
It is made up of open shelves, so that the user has free access to consult the bibliographic collection, whose collection exceeds 20,000 copies.

o External loan, for associates, of the available material.
o Loan of didactic suitcases and traveling boxes for educational institutions.
o Loan, for educational institutions, of traveling boxes.

o Online consultation of the catalog of the Library Network and the virtual Library.
GUIDED VISITS TO THE LIBRARY.
TRAVELING BOXES (Children's Library) They are made up of a varied selection of up to 60 books, intended for reading by children and young people and older adults in our community.
